I am very happy that this now exists. Physical phone books are archaic, unnecessary and wasteful, and now we can opt out of receiving them.

It’s a pretty simple process, although it took a while for me to receive my temporary password (via email) when first signing up. I opted out of all available phone books for my area, and I’ll just have to wait and see if the service truly works.

I wish there was a similar system for junk mail, but that’s probably dreaming a little too much…
