I GOT THE LEWIS SCHOLARSHIP FROM OUR MODERN & CLASSICAL LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT!!! 

I’ll have the funding now to study abroad in the Dominican Republic for 7 weeks this summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO EXCITED!

(Never did I ever think I’d be this excited to get to take malaria pills lol).

I love cooking vegetables because when Bean sees the leftovers he sneaks over to eat them and then looks at me like “THE FUCK?” and I feel like I’ve won.

Subtle Changes

I’ve started to notice small subtle changes in my appearance when I look (or flex) in the mirror. All the hours in the gym are paying off no matter what my scale says. I can’t wait to finally post my before and after picture. Even if it is a year from now, I will get there.

So I kind of had an amazing moment of personal growth today.

So you know how my coworker is always like “blah blah get off the computer and interact with us” and it pisses me off?

Well today she told me again and I finally told her, “Listen, I work really hard all day, and this is my downtime. I am allowed to spend it how I want. Please stop harassing me about it, or I’ll be staying in the classroom to eat.”

She was rather taken aback and I know she’s a HUGE gossip.

Old me would have panicked. Oh no, she thinks I’m rude, and she’s gonna tell other people, my life is over.

But that was old me. Now, to quote Carson Phillips, I don’t give a shiiiiit.

And DAMN does it feel good for once.

ONE MORE TIME

(In honor of my personal pledge that this paper shall be the last paper in which I will define neoclassical economics. For at least six months.)

Accidentally went for a long run when I missed my turn...

And I ended up going 6.25 miles (with very few stops)!!! AND I was on my own! My pace ended up being about 10ish min/mi, but I’m hoping I can lower that once I get used to going without stopping.

Next goal: successfully run a 10k race :)

I got casted to walk for Betsey Johnson in a fashion show back home! YIPEEE. 

So you know how you never get the same cold twice or whatever?  

My colds all present themselves the same way, at least. It’s always sniffles and stuffiness and general spaciness at the beginning. I get over the bad stuff quickly and then the runny nose just kind of lingers for a few days. Then come the coughs. That’s always the end. And without fail, since I was in 4th grade or so, I always get one awful, unstoppable, embarrassing coughing fit where I can’t stop and my eyes start tearing up and there’s never any water around and I have to blindly stumble out of a room while everyone looks at me like I’m crazy. 

I think I totally just defeated that cough right now. Totally had a big old bottle of Poland Spring on the desk. Eff yeah.

So I put my DVD into the player in my living room

And I can only have one episode per disk (so the entire series so far is going to be 13 disks. But it’s worth it) And I made the background all legit like with a picture of the cast and everything. Then I pushed play and it actually worked!!! :D Sound is all synced up and the quality is dynamite. I did a happy dance in my living room and my roommate said I was adorable. I’m so excited to watch Misfits on the TV as opposed to my computer!!!
