progress

I decided as part of my menagerie, I will instead of humans, be using creatures made of paper mache. I came across a website today, gourmetpapermache.com, and was inspired to persue this media instead. Last year I made sculpy characters for a gameboard project and wanted to do it again in a larger scale ever since.

New Orleans Masks

image

Each of the masks at New Orleans Masks is a handmade, original work of art to be worn, displayed or – hopefully – both. The masks’ materials run the gamut from papier mache, leather, fibers, plaster and cloth. They are adorned with feathers, jewels, fabric, sequins and anything else you can imagine. We also offer accessories such as boas, wings, tiaras, fangs – nearly everything needed for a masquerade or a night out on the town.
