“why don’t you just say bi”

“pansexual is the same as asexual”

“pansexual? so you fuck pans?”

“you like pandas”

“pan means everything, so that means like you’d fuck animals”

I told my dad I’m pansexual today and he said ‘cool’ and i was like ‘cool.’

then he said ”i think that panned out nicely.”

My dad is so great sometimes.

Looking for trans*, bi/pansexual, genderqueer, queer, intersex, or poly folks!

So here’s the deal. If you’re trans*, bi/pansexual, intersex, poly, genderqueer or queer, and you like to write? Send me a message.

If you’re new and don’t have a portfolio? Send me a message, and we’ll try and work a deal out.

I can’t pay a lot, but I can offer better than the less than a penny word rates going right now, and you’re essentially getting paid to talk about things you’d be talking about on tumblr, et all anyway (and having a wider audience.)

Please signal boost, as I am really trying to only use queer writers for this, and give folks a chance for their voices to be heard.

No~ Just pansexual

Before you choose to argue with bisexuals on the definition of bisexuality...

Here’s what I consider to be the 101 curriculum:

Words have a community and history. If you’re going to wrestle with their meaning, you need to be aware of the community and history behind those meanings.

Parents on Sexuality (Add on if you're older than 17)

  • Parents when I'm 10: No you're wrong. It's just a phase.
  • Parents when I'm 11: It's just a phase.
  • Parents when I'm 12: It's just a phase.
  • Parents when I'm 13: It's just a phase.
  • Parents when I'm 14: It's just a phase.
  • Parents when I'm 15: It's just a phase.
  • Parents when I'm 16: It's just a phase.
  • Parents when I'm 17: It's just a phase.

“Pansexuals” are just bisexuals in denial of their sexuality and you can unfollow me right now if you think otherwise

Im tired of the inner shame/erasure/stigma against bisexuals you guys

petition to stop defining pansexuality in shitty ways

examples of shitty ways to define pansexuality:

  • “i just love people”
  • “my love transcends gender”
  • “hearts not parts”
  • anything that relies on defining bisexuality
  • anything that implies binary trans* people aren’t “real” men/women
  • anything that implies it’s impossible to experience physical attraction to nonbinary people or that you have to “overlook” nonbinary genders
  • anything self-righteous
  • probably other things, too

“I'm tired of being told that pansexuals fall in love with personalities and with people, rather than fall in lust with bodies and genders. In no other definition of sexuality does the word "love" pop up so frequently. Homosexuality, heterosexuality, bisexuality, even asexuality, all rely on words like "attraction" when we define them, which implies a range of feelings (aesthetics, romance, etc.) but most importantly, sex. Pansexuality, however, has been whitewashed of its sex, often in a sex-negative way.”

What Does It Mean to Be Pansexual? - Gwen, Pop Shot Blog

I really love this article! It’s always bothered me when I identify myself to someone as pansexual, and someone then labels pansexuality as being gender-blind or falling for people based on their personality and this article (which I’ve linked to above) has helped me figure out and be able to articulate why it bothers me.

No I’m not gender-blind. Gender and someone’s gender expression can be fucking sexy and is absolutely a part of why I’m attracted to some of the people I am.

And I’m not attracted to someone for their personality more than most other people are. Yes personality plays a significant part in long-term attraction to me, but sometimes I do lust after someone just because of how they look or want to be with someone even though I barely know them and I wish people wouldn’t state that pansexual people essentially can’t be like this.

If someone identifies as pansexual it does NOT mean that they don’t see gender, and it does NOT mean that someone’s personality is the only thing that dictates whether they’re attracted to said someone.
