PSP New Jearsey Location Announcement

PSP released the following statement:


It is no secret that the Northeastern portion of the United States has been and continues to be a breeding ground for some of the greatest paintball players in the world. Countless manufacturers, stores, fields and teams in this region have supported the PSP since the league’s inception… and now it’s time to give back.

The PSP would like to invite teams from all over the world to be a part of the 2011 PSP New Jersey Open. The decision to return to the Northeast comes after months of discussions with players, venues and sponsors. The host field for this August 12 - 14 event will be the ever-popular paintball park “TopGun Paintball”.

TopGun, located next to Six Flags Great Adventure, offers acres upon acres of a flat grass surface ideal for play at the national level. This venue is conveniently located off I-195 in Jackson, NJ between New York City and Philadelphia. Nearby airports include Philadelphia (PHL), Newark (EWR) and Atlantic City (ACY) - all just about an hour away. There is also a regional airport, Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN) that is just 39 minutes from the event. New Jersey Mass Transit and Train options are available as well.

“After careful consideration, the league has elected to put the following field changes in place: 1) Two additional bunkers will be placed on each side of the field for a total of 4 additional bunkers. 2) The playing field will be reduced to 150 ft x 120 ft boundary to boundary.”

Looks like I’m going to play PSP MAO with a Russian D3 team.  Cool! I haven’t played a psp event since last World Cup and I miss those events.  I really hope I perform cause my APPA points are kinda shit….
