Poolside - Slow Down

At long last, I return to my Tuesday spot (okay, I know it’s only been a few weeks, work with me here). In classic June fashion, I come this week bearing a song for you to add to your summer playlists! Something new and exciting, I know…

Anyway! This one is perfect for your typical lazy summer day. Play it by the pool! Play it on the beach! Play it while you light up! Play it while you day-drink out of your ever-so-stealthy red Solo cup! Just play it! It’s a wonderfully chill song by the newcomers in Poolside, who are set to release their first LP, Pacific Standard Time, in early July. They definitely had the above scenarios in mind when they recorded this slow, bobbing, viscous track, and I can’t wait to hear more of their work. For now, I’m popping it on my own summer playlist which I’ll be posting soon via Spotify. The next couple of days are going to be in the 90s around here. Time to don the sunglasses, snapback, sunscreen, and of course, my headphones for this song. While I can’t promise that this one will get you through the entire summer, I can promise that the alliteration in the previous sentence was unintentional. Whoops.

Enjoy!
