Every day my respect for Chris grows, especially when I see what he has to put up with from the media, especially the media that is supposedly “on his side.” It’s tough when even the gay media feels the need to make fun of you for being *le gasp* the “wrong kind of gay.” And by the way, OUT magazine, don’t think we didn’t notice how you slipped ‘nagging’ in there along with his talent and energy (most of the time considered positive traits, certainly more so than being a cheating asshole) as reasons why Kurt’s not  dateable. The connotations of that word are many, none of them positive, a lot of them misogynistic and as a female, I really have to ask you why having feminine characteristics (nagging not being a feminine trait, but you’re the ones who shit your bed, now I request that you squirm in it) is such a terrible thing? According to you and other major LGBTQ media, the only thing worse than being effeminate is being gay and effeminate. Which all I can say to that is fuck you. I’m proud of who I am and it’s a tremendous shame that a magazine that’s supposed to support gay men in the entertainment industry is having such a hard time not being homophobic. There’s no right or wrong way to be gay, dears, just like there’s no right way or wrong way to be a woman. I can be as masculine or feminine as I want and my self-identify is still valid. It’s sad that an ignorant and not particularly articulate 23-year-old like me can still be less small minded, chauvinistic, and more socially aware than you, a professional publication.
