The supernatural creatures of the world have been outed, and the governments of the world acted swiftly. There are laws in place restricting travel, limiting expressions of power, and establishing cities in which they are strongly encouraged to live.

Porter City is one such place, populated by werewolves and vampires, witches and magicians, mediums and ghosts, fae and humans. Into that already volatile mix comes a new pack of werewolves, uncivilized and unwilling to adapt to human life. With them, they bring a host of conflicted loyalties and an ancient vampire who turned his back on his own kind centuries ago.

When a member of the pack is murdered in a ritual vampiric ceremony, the fragile peace of the city is thrown into turmoil, and detectives Heath Franklin and Lilith Mariol must follow the twists and turns of werewolf hierarchy and vampire politics to discover the culprit before the city’s factions dissolve into full-blown warfare.
