onitlikeacarponit replied to your post: i couldn’t tell you if someone was appropriating…
it’s african american vernacular english, also known as ebonics, and usually when used by non-black people it is mocking and minstrel like i.e. when white tweens tour my school and say “wat up bronquiesha” to me as walk to my dorm.
onitlikeacarponit replied to your post: like can u make personal ads for friends i just…
I like these things but I’m sure that live in a state you don’t know the name of…

I don’t use gel because I have porous hair, and gel tends to have all the wrong things for my strands. I also have fine hair so I need things to be light on my hair, and gel I feel weighs my hair down.
See, I had to go look up what it meant to have porous hair and I’m still confused. I’m a bad natural, tbh. I don’t know shit about my hair other than I have really fine hairs all over my head, and I’m too scared to experiment on it to figure out anything. I have defining creme gel but I don’t like gel… but I like the hold it can have. I don’t use it, but… -cries- I’m just confused about everything.

You do natural hair? Thats so cool. I cant do anything but a bun.
Not other people’s hair, no. I’ve only done it today and to my Nana once before. You can’t do twists or coils or anything? :o
onitlikeacarponit replied to your post: Hello, hi there. I’m on mobile.
similar thing happened to me the first time i twisted someone’s hair.
why didn’t she want gel, if you don’t mind my asking?
I… honestly have no idea. Gel is good for drying people’s hair out but it’s good for hold, so I truly couldn’t tell you even if I knew.

My roots do the same thing. My hair will hold coils/twists/curls perfectly all over except in the front and sometimes in the middle too. It be like that sometimes.
I actually don’t really like doing coils in my hair but it’s easier for me than, say, Bantu knots or flat twists. I can’t do flat twists for nothing but I’ve done ‘em a couple times. Mine are never neat and pretty :c

do people really only look at the romantic aspect of olitz and forget every single outside realistic factor (like the dude being married and /leader of the new fucking world/) and how these things work together?
it honestly seems that way sometimes.
i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: Just because she’s not a blatant and vocal and grandiose about her feelings like he is does not mean she doesn’t love him.
what part of this relationship and life is simple? please let me know though.

I need you to know that your aveline post has sent me on a quest for Connorline fanfics…
Converting my friends, one post at a time
Could you make the body mod one rebloggable? And also would gauges be considered culturally appropri-able ((I know that's not a real word))?
It’s been made rebloggable :)
According to Google, ear stretching originated in “Asian, African, and South Pacific cultures”. Many indigenous people still practice it, and it appears to have significant cultural/spiritual value within those cultures, so I’d have to say yes, gauges and ear stretching are appropriative.
