Book # 90: One Silent Night

While the world carries on unawares, Stryker, who leads an army of demons and vampires, is plotting an all out onslaught against his enemies—which, unfortunately for us, includes the entire human race. Stryker’s book. 

I don’t what to expect when I opened this book. We know Stryker is the villain here, and that only made me want to know more about him because, one thing I noticed about SK’s stories was that her characters became what they are because of a reason.

There is always a reason.

Either betrayal, lack of love, or whatever, there is always a reason.

And this book didn’t disappoint me.

I now understood why Stryker turned to Apollymi after getting cursed by his very own father.

I also like how SK wrote Stryker’s childhood. It explained a lot about his character now.

Let’s talk about Zephyra.

She’s a good change from the other heroine’s from this series. 

Unlike them, Phyra is mean and strong-willed. A fitting lady for a villain like Stryker. 

Others don’t like her because of that, but for me, it’s perfect. 

Though she could use a little compassion for Jared. I really like the guy.

And speaking of Jared, weee! I like Nim!!! I love that little Demon. I hope he ended with Simi one day. XD 

And as much as this pains me, I would state some flaws in this story that I noticed.

First… How come Kat is close to Ares and Artemis actually called Katra ‘her baby’ when there are other gods around? I thought she’s keeping a Katra a secret to them? 

Second is when Urian said he’ll help the others fight but he’s not anywhere near during the fight.

And another is… well, I can’t really recall the others. The first ones was the only thing I remembered but…

Oh, well.

That being said, I still love the book and the major reason in that is because the gods, Ash, Stryker and Nick banded together to beat War.
