This Tina/Blaine shit is wrong. It’s beyond “bad/offensive story line” and has become blatantly irresponsible and destructive. Writers should not have one teenage character assault another, then get angry that the person they assaulted was ungrateful, and then have the other teen apologize to the person that assaulted them. All non-consentual touching, especially with sexual undertones, is assault. It’s not a joke, it’s not innocent, it’s wrong. Why the writers thought this was an appropriate story line, much less the appropriate way to approach it, is beyond the confounds of reasonable logic. This was not right. And anyone who says it’s okay because Tina is female and Blaine is male need to deconstruct such sexist notions and recognize that touching someone who is passed out under the influence of a substance without their consent is assault. Period.
