What is this competition?
Democracy for America and America’s Voice have teamed up to provide financial assistance to forty outstanding bloggers and activists so they can attend this year’s Netroots Nation conference.
What is Netroots Nation?
Netroots Nation is a conference dedicated to providing bloggers, progressive activists and candidates a forum to strengthen the online community and grow the progressive movement.
While this is a progressive space, there is still a need for feminist voices. We need more diversity and awareness about social justice even in progressive spaces. I notice a distinct lack of people of colour in the top spots.
Sorry if you’ve seen be post about this before, but I would not be able to attend this without your help! Voting ends this Thursday, please help out!

I am going on a work trip tomorrow which makes me feel like a grown up. I will be gone from Wednesday-Sunday and will be going hard from 8am to about midnight every night, but I am super excited for it. It’s a massive progressive conference with ample opportunities for networking and learning. I am ready to get super nerdy. :) And, I’m not even bummed that it will be taking over my weekend.
Does this make me an adult yet?
