I don't know about this one

     So in May 2012 they are going to break ground on 6th street and St. Joe st. downtown Rapid City to build the tallest building in South Dakota. The 17 story (I know it’s sad that 17 stories is the biggest) “presidential plaza” as it is going to be named, will house two large companies yet to be named, a high end hotel with convention center, various retailers, and around 30 condos. I’m all for new things to do and to help improve our city…town is a better word for it, but seriously. This is in the historic district. Downtown Rapid City, is artsy old school, and a growing urban hang out for young people. My problems with this are, one is it going to look oldish? because it’s in the Historic district…common people, you can’t through some ugly fucking modern building up next  to the Alex Johnson (historic hotel) and expect that to look good? Second, they already built the downtown square, yes yes I like it, but they took tax payers dollars to build a place for hobos to hang out, and now they’re taking 11 million dollars of tax payers dollars to build this. Thirdly, they better not tare any Historic buildings down to put this up, because that would be the stupidest fucking thing ever if they did. They would have to tear down Tally’s or The Alex Johnson. I am pretty sure that isn’t happening, so hopefully they are putting it in the open parking lot across the street.

     Well I know none of you care seeing how most of you have no idea what I am talking about, but I had to vent a little. Well have a swell, day!
