Hello and welcome to my little blog. Thanks so much for adding me.

Push the Sky Away (Nick Cave)

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Push the Sky Away: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds return to form with their new LP Push the Sky Away. Still coming down from the would-be adrenaline rush of Grinderman (Cave’s Alter ego), the band find themselves more grounded and introspective than ever. Like Johnny Cash’s “American Recordings” sessions, this is a set of songs that contrasts low energy and volume with tremendous soul and emotion. While Nick Cave is no longer the angsty young man of the Bad Seeds’ early days, his spirit pushes on with a newly refined sound.
Recommended Tracks: “Higgs Boson Blues”, “We No Who U R”, “Jubilee Street”

Music Director PICK OF THE WEEK:

Artist: Randy Greif

Title: Alice in Wonderland

Genre: LITERARY INSANITY

Comments: 6 hours of Alice in Wonderland backed by NCP-ing

Description from back cover: Randy Griefs “Alice in Wonderland” was first released as a series by the Dutch label Staalplaat from 1991 to 1993. The CDs were very limited in number and quickly sold out. In 2000 they were remastered, collected into a box set, and released by Soleilmoon. For this third edition the artwork and packaging has been completely redesigned. Total playing time is approx 6 hours of what has been described as stimulating listening: electronic landscapes, deconstructed text and computer manipulations.
