So I just realized something about meowrails… Horse owners often adopt cats to kill mice in their barns, because mice bother horses. The horses recognize this, and in return they protect the cats (well, they mostly just let the cats sleep on them). And that’s kind of a good analogy for equius and nepeta’s relationship.
