as much as the forty
and butterflies to have been hungry
i went wandering down the seal despair
so wondrous nearer drew earlier in horrid hooting stanza
and invitations
and made reply
or two butterflies off with clasps of grace

a givenness to the horizon drawing nearer

What do I have a GIVENNESS NOW to?

The horizon drawing nearer.

“Now, it is in the paradoxes of my life that ironically I have come to see God’s greatest mercy.  All of my life I tried to avoid the paradox…but, the very contradictions that I am, and that I have had to live through, have become signs of God’s mercy to me.”

..this “horizon draws near and gifts itself to us.”
Karl Rahner, Poetry and the Christian

The very thing which I avoided has become the very thing I needed and wanted; the paradoxes and contradictions of my life have not only become “signs”, but “finds”, of God’s mercy to me.

See the horizon...

Near.

And even nearer.

I have a GIVENNESS NOW to the horizon drawing nearer.

Jamie XX new single

Jamie XX is back with 2 new tracks released yesterday on the famous Numbers label. His personal touch is now very easy to recognize as it sounds similar to the work he has done on the Gil Scott Heron album.
Although I’ve to admit that I’ve never heard about ‘Far nearer’ (up on Youtube for several months…) I can remember Jamie XX playing the second track ‘Beat for’ in a DJ set he made for the very trendy Parisian shop ‘Colette’ in 2010.
This second track is even better than the title track, how is that possible?!

No one has had a more prolific rise to fame than Jamie XX. With unrelenting sucesses with The XX his downbeat solo style has really caught the publics imagination. Throw in two excellent high profile remixes Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and Florence anf the Machine’s ‘You;ve got the Love’. His latest track comes with the familiar style with uncontested ease.
