New Music for your Saturday Groove - Nayanna Holley

You all know I LOVE my music!  My taste in music is quite varied so there isn’t one genre I tend to stick to.  When I say “if you follow me, I will follow you back,” I mean it, and I do follow and I do check out you and your content to learn more about you.  Can you imagine my surprise when I scrolled through Nayanna Holley’s posts and read she was an artist?  I HAD to listen, and this song Black & Gold from her On Leave & Fear album has been on my repeated list.  Unfortunately, I have not made it to her other songs because Black & Gold has me on lockdown.

Did you know Nayanna has been collaborating with Meshell Ndegeocello?  Neither did I, so now you know!  Nayanna’s voice is crisp, sultry, soft, (yep all of that) and though I’m not an expert, I have heard her vocal range and OH MY!  One song I heard briefly had a little southern, soulful, folk feel, but this song Black & Gold has a strong jazz vibe (I love the scatting in this song by the way).  I can tell you she will have a song for everyone.  Feel free to check out her official site here.

I hope you like this song as much as I do!  Hopefully you can get through the whole album because I’m stuck on this song…literally!
