“I love you, there’s nothing to hide
It’s better than burning inside
I love you, no use to pretend
There! I said it again.”

Wish I Were Somebody Else
Nat "King" ColeI wish I were somebody else
The kind of guy you’d gander at
Somebody else who could pass your way
And make you say “Who’s that?”
My life story.

You Can Depend on Me
Nat King Cole TrioNat King Cole Trio - You Can Depend On Me
Although you say we’re through, I’ll always love you
And you can depend on me
Though someone you’ve met has made you forget
You know, you can count on me
I wish you success and loads of happiness
But I must confess I’ll be lonely
But if you ever need a friend, I’m yours till the end
And you can depend on me
I wish you success, loads of happiness
But I must confess I’ll be lonely
But if you ever need a friend, I’m yours till the end
And you can depend on me
And you can depend on me
Just gorgeous.

Straighten Up And Fly Right
Nat King ColeNat King Cole just has a wonderful voice. Straighten Up and Fly Right was his first vocal hit, performed by his trio, which included himself playing piano, Oscar Moore on guitar, and Wesley Prince on bass. It is one of his earliest compositions, written with the help of Irving Mills, a jazz music publisher who discovered a number of famous jazz songwriters. The lyrics come from an African folk tale which Cole’s father, a pastor, would use in his sermons.
