Eight Hours in Seoul (A Typical Photoblog)
This story dates back five weeks.
I don’t have a good camera. I don’t have editing skills.
But I have photos of random things and i’m sharing them.
Last December 2, I was in Seoul to meet my cousin.
I live (back then because now I’m in PH) in Gwangju, about four hours away from Seoul.
My travel time (to and fro) is exactly the same as the time I spent there.
I was (sort of) alone.
This is an unplanned trip, and that’s what makes it special.

It was drizzling, 5 degree-Celsius, and 6AM when I left Gwangju. Thank you Julie for waking up just to help me call a taxi. I arrived in Seoul 9:30AM. I thought I was good at directions but I spent one and a half hour contemplating on subway maps because 1. I was disoriented in a sleepy way and 2. I was nervous. Finally, I met my cousin
This is her…

and me… :)

Then cable cars and Namsan Tower happened (haha)

Once again, i’m reminded of love.
But after 5mins of strolling, I got irritated. HAHA
You just can’t enjoy a walk in a place like this surrounded by people like them (on top) when you’re alone.
My first meal was around 3:30PM. I don’t know if it was the best burger in Seoul but the wall says so.
That was my eight hours in Seoul. The remaining time was spent in subway trains.
The bus to Gwangju leaves at 5:30PM. I was in the station 5:15PM.
I wasn’t tired. I was happy because I feel “adult” riding the subway alone with a backpack and a camera (hehehe).
That was it. Walking. Catching up. Weather conversations.
A Sunday of not being in the dormitory, in the laboratory or in the office.
I was on the road and I had a little of Seoul.
I remember I was excited to go back to GIST ;)
