It looks like the Persona 4 Animation Bluray DVDs are getting a lot of animation clean-up, so those… ah… somewhat silly looking screenshots and such will be redrawn and reanimated, I suppose? I’ve only gotten vague details, so I can’t promise anything completely accurate. Still, it is nice to know they are fixing the bizarre looking faces and such.
As for the true ending… there was an interview and this information was released:
“They talked about the True End Episode. The last Blu-ray/DVD will be largest and the TE episode will be around the same length as the other episodes (I believe?). It will take place before Yu goes back home and you’ll see the other social links.”
So it looks like the bizarre stories of Yu/Souji leaving and then coming back are slightly off (which is a relief, to be honest. I wasn’t sure what reasoning they’d be able to come up for to be realistic.)
Also, also…
It looks like Persona 4 the Animation is greenlighted (officially) to come to America and it will have all of the original cast — save for Teddie and Chie, who will feature the same voices as they have in Persona 4 Area. I can already hear the fans complaining about this… Honestly, shouldn’t we be grateful that we’re getting it at all? I realise that we all fell in love with the original casting, but it is better to simply have two voices replaced than the entire cast.
That aside, I believe it was said that in P4: Golden, the complete original cast (including Chie and Teddie?) will be used for the game.
I certainly hope so… While I realise and understand why some people are upset, I am getting somewhat irritated with the amount of complaining that is being done. Though that is my personal view and it isn’t intended to offend.
But overall, I would say this is a decent amount of good news.
