#sometimes i think about the four months sam spent without dean and how sam's hell would have been less literal than dean's but how it would have been torture all the same because sam had to ask for motel rooms with single beds and he had to sew up his own wounds and he probably caught himself idly commenting on things and waiting for dean to respond and then having to remember all over again that dean was dead and he wasn't ever coming back and there wasn't a thing sam could do about it
