Honestly, even I'll admit that some of the things I say to my cat are straight up weird.

I basically talk to her like she is a person or an extension of my own subconscious.

Update on The Moosh

The vet said she looks great. Her teeth are fine. Her heart rate is normal. Her stomach feels okay. She is the prettiest cat she’s ever seen. (I made one of these up.)

She’s taking a urine sample to check her kidneys and I’ll hear back in a few days. The kidneys are what I’m most worried about at her age, but I’m relieved for now that the vet thinks she is doing well.

I took The Moosh to the vet last week and it went really well. Her heart, muscles, and stomach all felt fine. She weighed pretty much the same as last year. Even her blood and urine work was virtually the same as they were a year ago - with her kidney levels only slightly higher, but nothing to worry about at this point, according to the vet.

She’s been throwing up a lot lately though. Not hairballs, but actual food. And most of it is barely even chewed. The vet said that she may be having a hard time chewing the hard food - which she has eaten her whole life - so I should see how she does with soft food.

I bought her some tonight and she seems really uninterested in eating it. Hopefully I’ll wake up tomorrow morning and she’ll haven eaten it, but if she doesn’t then I’m not sure what to do.

I just hope she’s okay. I worry so much about my sweet girl since she’s so old. I never want her to ever be uncomfortable or in pain. I love her more than anything in the world.
