Oh look, a Museum of Math, in New York. I wonder what the ratio of real math to colorful toys is. I mean, in all fairness, at the end of the day Americans pay for this museum, and Americans don’t know any math at all. Or well, anything that isn’t sex and fashion statements. So it’s all a matter of appeal and survive versus a correct reject.
And considering all the reviews are “I had fun at Disneyland!” it looks like they took the first path.
The much anticipated Museum of Math has finally opened its doors! Bill Nye the Science Guy has already graced the place with his presence and I can’t wait to go this weekend. I hear that it’s filled with activities and life-scale models that make math interesting for people of all ages.
