Being pregnant was kind of easy.

Blaine wasn’t sure what all of those women, and some of the guys, complained about. His pregnancy so far had been a breeze. He barely had morning sickness, he hadn’t had any terrible mood swings or cravings just yet and for the most part, he felt pretty damn amazing.

It was like absolutely nothing bad could happen while he was pregnant.

He should totally do this all of the time.

He could still work and sure, he got a little more tired than usual but if he took a nap in the middle of the day, no one cared or called him lazy because pregnant people could nap whenever they wanted to.

It was clearly a win-win situation.

The first handful of days back in Lima, Kurt is content to stay in his old house, lazing on his father’s couch, catching up much needed rest, and watching trashy TV. He runs errands for both his father and Carole when they need it, happy to help out whenever he can. He eventually surrenders to Carole’s constant pestering and gives in to big, home-cooked meals that he knows he’ll eventually have to work off before he makes it back to the stage.

Over two weeks into his “home-cation” (as Rachel aptly named it), Kurt begins to feel restless. No one’s surprised – back in New York, he’d been busy from the moment he woke up until he got back into bed – but his parents still hope that he can just take it easy a little longer.

Katy tugs on Blaine’s slacks again, this time asking, “Daddy, is that Papa?”

Blaine woke slowly, stretching the cramped, tight muscles in his aching back as he struggled to sit up in bed, rubbing one hand over his sleep-sticky eyes and the other resting on his round, six-month-pregnant belly. He could hear the water running in the bathroom; Kurt was in the shower, evidently.

And stopped short when he realized that the tips of his fingers were stained black with ink.

Shuffling around until he was able to see himself in the mirror - no easy task for someone of his current size - what he saw brought a smile to his face.

A smile exactly like the one that had somehow appeared on his belly overnight, a face drawn across the stretched skin in what he hoped wasn’t indelible marker. Even if it was, it might make an interesting addition to his appearance at any rate.

Smiling, he traced the line of the drawn-on eyes and wide smile, feeling where the baby moved and squirmed where he touched.

“Like my artwork?”

Kurt had reappeared from the bathroom, dressed in only a robe and rubbing his wet hair with a towel. There was an impish grin on his face.

“I don’t look so much like a beached whale now. It makes this,” he gestured to his large stomach, “almost nice to look at.”

“Would you stop that?” Kurt exclaimed, throwing the damp towel on top of the hamper in the corner of the room and pushing back his hair from his face, still pink from the shower. He sat down next to Blaine on the bed, brought his face close for kiss.

Kurt placed his hands, palms down, on either side of Blaine’s belly, at either end of the smile he had drawn onto the skin. It was warm and firm to the touch, laced with pinkish-red stretch marks - not that Kurt cared.

He dropped his head to press a quick kiss just under Blaine’s belly button, where it protruded outwards, the result of six months of pregnancy, and smiled against the skin when he felt a tiny foot kick out against his cheek.

“You are amazing,” Kurt murmured, “and you look amazing. Don’t let anyone tell you any differently.”

Klaine AU: A few weeks after Mr Schue’s almost-wedding and the events that followed, Blaine starts having symptoms. Symptoms that appear to be a lot like pregnancy.

Part 16

With two weeks to go until graduation, Blaine’s mom had been pestering him to decide who he wanted to invite to the ceremony.

Not that it was of particular interest to him - he really didn’t mind who came. Cooper would have to be invited, or else he’d complain and Blaine wouldn’t stop hearing about it until his first high school reunion, and maybe even after that, too. His parents were a given. Maybe his grandmother, but she lived three hours away and she was old; perhaps she wouldn’t be up for travelling.

And then, of course, there was Kurt, who had promised he’d be there, no matter what happened.

It would be easy - if his morning sickness hadn’t come back with a vengeance almost as soon as the date arrived that meant he was four months pregnant, as if it had been planned.

Carrying On

Summary: Blaine is forced back onto the Cheerios. The problem is that he’s pregnant, and no one at the school knows.

The Cheerios uniform made him feel uncomfortable and exposed, especially under the scrutinising glare of Coach Sylvester and the admiring gaze of Becky Jackson. He had only looked down at his body once since changing into it and his tummy looked so prominent he hadn’t had the courage to do so again. It felt strange not layering himself in a cardigan and a jacket. Blaine knew that he was only just beginning to show, that no one besides himself would think anything of his slightly rounded belly, but he still felt more secure with a few bits of material between his growing waistline and the rest of the world.

The enormous poster advertising the said items made Blaine stop in his tracks.

Everywhere they went, it seemed as though graduation was coming ever closer.

There were three weeks left of the school year. For Blaine, Sam, Artie, Tina and Brittany, they were the last three weeks they would ever spend at William McKinley High School.

None of them, however, were quite sure how they felt about it, most of all Blaine. Graduation seemed so insignificant to him compared to the huge changes already going on his life, both metaphorically and physically, as he noted with chagrin as he had failed in getting his cardigan to button for the third time that week.

Three weeks. That was all that was left, and then he’d be done with high school forever.

That fact, coupled with the concern in his mother’s voice as she called up the stairs was enough to have Sebastian jumping out of bed and hurrying downstairs.

It didn’t take long until his suspicions were confirmed. He rounded the corner into the living room to find Blaine sitting on the couch with his head in his hands. His mother sat beside him rubbing his back.

“Babe, what’s the matter?” he asked, moving quickly to drop down on Blaine’s other side and pull him close.

Blaine looked up with red-rimmed eyes and a heartbreaking look of devastation on his face. “Seb, he—he found out…”
