MOTORCITY NYC MEETUP LOCATION INFO!!!
so quite a lot of you have responded to the motorcity nyc meetup (tumblr post!! facebook event!!) SO my co-runner amanda and i did do a bit of exploring the other day, and we’ve chosen a (general) area for our meet!

a few yards away (actually you’ll probably see this first upon walking in the area) is this adorable….. campy type thing

Katsucon motorcity meetup plans!
OKAY so I have been talking around with a ton of people and we have decided on a tentative time for the motorcity meetup!
We have set the meet up for 8:30pm on Saturday, with a meetup spot in front of the hellaciously large fountain in the lobby of the Gaylord hotel (the con hotel.)
the plans are still hazy, but we have already corralled two pro photographers to be on site at 11pm (that would give us time to hang out, get food, socialize, draw, do whatever.) don’t worry about payment, Duke’s got this (I am treating everyone to a photoshoot.) if you want to be included in a bunch of photography shenanigans and have your photos taken professionally in a cool night shoot, stick around till 11pm and join us! It will be an outside shoot most likely, so please dress for the weather.
If anyone has any questions let me know here or via ask! I am more than willing to give out my phone # at the con so people can talk and organize with me easier. I might also order pizza if people want, we shall see how much $$$ I have by Saturday oops
So YEAH big motorcity meet up! Non motorcuties are welcome to come and hang out as well obviously, we accept everyone c:

ATTENTION MOTORCITY FANS GOING TO DRAGON*CON
2012 Dragon*con Motorcity Meetup
When: Saturday, September 1st @ 2:00 PM - ???
Where: The concrete/stone walkway/landing outside the Hyatt Regency (one of the Dragon*Con host hotels)
Directions: if you leave the Hyatt from any exit along the side of the building facing Peachtree Street, just hang a right when you exit the building - you should see the tiered walkway lined with stone/concrete walls. You can’t miss it. It is literally right outside of the building to the right. Just look for Julie Kane (that’ll be me) and Kaia (that’ll be my pal Maggie)!
Who: Open to all Motorcity fans - it doesn’t matter if you’re in cosplay or not! You’re invited! We’d love to have you!
Plans: None - this will be a pretty loose, informal meet-up. We’ll just do the whole meet-n’-greet, snap a few photos, casual socialization with fellow fans, and you’re free to leave whenever!
So far, we have five confirmed attendees - if you would like to join us, then please do so! I’d appreciate it if you would drop me an email at sarahjtx@msn.com so I can get an idea of how many to expect, but if you do show up unannounced, we certainly won’t turn you away! Motorcity Meetup Washington State!
Hi again, Motorcitizens of WA! Sorry to bother you all again, but I come bearing an idea. If you guys live near Mercer Island, that could be a central meeting point! We could go to Mercer Island by way of car, carpooling, bus, train, plane- anything!- and meet at the Mercer Island library! I’ve been there- you can be noisy and eat and drink and whatever, so it’ll be a great location. But! If you guys have a different idea, please drop me a line! I’d like to get all of this set up before we do this shindig!
