John has always been sure of his sexuality. When Harry came out of the closet, he had wondered for maybe a moment - was it genetic, did he share something with his sister - but then it had faded. He loved women, and while he accepted and loved his sister, part of him was a little grateful to feel normal.
And the years passed that way, much the same, simple and clear and easy. He had a few relationships, and while all of them failed it was not because of a lack of interest, just the normal vagaries of life and the world.
And then he met Sherlock Holmes, and all his thoughts about himself went out the window.
Because he was madly, deeply, truly in love with Sherlock.

so i got my hair cut yesterday, and basically it looks halfway between season2 and 3 sam winchester. and i’ve had mixed reactions, mainly “omg you’re so cute!” and “wow i like it it makes you look older”. and then there was emily who freaked(cuz apparently im really cute) and picked me up and carried me down the hall going on about how i was “baby sammy”
