I’m 5’1(.5!!!) It used to bother me at first because in grade school, guys would tease me about how short I was, but in college, even when I was chubs, I think it contributed to my cute factor. There’s nothing cuter than a short girl NeTe-ing all the things. It makes my attempts to Te all the more adorable. Especially when, in the midst of Te-ing, I need help reaching things. Ask Alec, Quentin, and Ryan. They’ll tell you.

Yeah, my hairdresser always cuts it shorter than I like (which doesn’t leave much) but within a week it’s always a nice length. Also you are super ridiculously pretty.

I’m not sure. I’m still trying to figure out where I can get my privilege stamps. I should be able to come up with a couple good ones since I’m not in a 3rd world country and have Internet access.

Why does that prevent you from opening up?
It was mostly meant as a joke, but I only find it funny because it’s true, to a ceratin extent. I wouldn’t say that I take myself all that seriously, because although I take myself more seriously than I should, I certainly don’t as much as I could.
My problem is that I’m still coming out of a long period of “having issues” for no real reason but myself (you could call this period “adolescence”, but I went pretty hardcore on the teen angst), and while I’ve largely thrown off all of the cognitive distortions that were hindering me, I still haven’t gotten over who I’ve been, etc. so I feel the need to talk about it a lot, which is interesting to me, both because it involves me, and because psychology in general is interesting to me, I generally assume that it isn’t interesting to other people.
Apart from that, there’s the fact that I’m a serious person in general. NiTeFi serious. I usually can’t talk to people about things the way I want to without someone telling me that I go too far, and think too much etc. cause I’m s0o0o0 #NotLikeMostGirls. This wouldn’t be such an issue if I didn’t attach these things to my ego, because then I wouldn’t feel personally hurt by people not understanding them. I’m still a work in progress, I guess.

I just saw the thing that Anon said about Amanda Palmer not paying musicians; I think they're referencing this: avclub•com/articles/musicians-and-unions-brassed-off-after-amanda-palm,84867 — AVClub has been talking about the issue a lot from all angles, but the main point of contention is that she promised "merchandise, gratitude, beer, high-fives, and hugs" and some people were annoyed by that.
the clincher is that musicians do show up and they do collaborate with her and her bandmates for whatever kind of compensation is offered. these musicians aren’t being tricked into agreeing to the conditions and so correct me if i’m wrong but i’d say if both parties are aware and are entering the gig willingly, then idk if we can call that exploitation or refusal to pay on her part??
