I am asking for help from my tumblr POC community.
Hello everyone, my name is Jordan Shaw and I would like some help from my fellow POC tumblr users.
Growing up, I never knew about or understood my parent’s struggle to create a good life for my brother and I. I always thought my parents were rich and that we never would have to worry about anything. That my parents were absolutely fine.
But I grew up. I’m fifteen now.
They don’t think I notice but I do. Their frustrated sighs at the fact that they are going to have to skip a bill a or two this month just to the pay the rent. The fact that my mother can’t always get the medical help she needs for her lupus because she can’t medical insurance for herself. The fact that my father has to work from 1 AM to 3 PM just so he can make minimum wage as a janitor at the hospital. My father and my brother can’t always get the asthma medicine they need sometimes because we usually don’t have enough money. My mother is out of job right now because she was randomly fired.
I remember hearing my father cry one night. He kept saying, “I want to do so much for them, but I can’t. I can’t.”
I hate seeing my mom and dad in pain. That’s why I’m asking for help.

So my friend Sam here needs 350 by next month. Currently, he has less than 30 dollars. These costs include paying rent, repaying loan for college, and getting the medicine for his cat, medicine that needs to be renewed every month.
He has been trying to apply for jobs for over a year, and is currently doing commissions. You can already see some examples of his art on the commissions page, but you can also look at his dA gallery, too.
What can you do to help? Three things:

Guys, my boyfriend could really use your help!
He didn’t want to type this, he didn’t even really want to ask, because he wasn’t sure how it would sound, how it would look, but desperate times call for desperate measures. My boyfriend, Paul, is in serious need of money help.
PLEASE HEAR ME OUT:
Due to personal reasons, Paul needs to take a year off from school. He lives in an apartment right by our campus, and while he’s a student, his rent is covered by financial aid. But when he’s not a student, he must pay it himself.
He moved up to a full time position as a cook at our local Pizza Hut/KFC combo restaurant, and wanted to make monthly rent payments so that he could stay in Indiana during the school year. He plans on taking online classes to continue his education for the year and to give him more incentive to definitely return to being a full time student next year.
Unfortunately, when he spoke with his landlord, he was denied the chance to make monthly payments. Paul is now expected to pay $1,500 by July 27th. This is money that a 22 year old cook doesn’t have.
This is a rough situation, and they gave him such a short amount of time that it almost seems impossible, but please, tumblr, I’m begging you to help him out. The last thing he wants to do is leave Indiana. He doesn’t want to lose his job, he doesn’t want to leave his friends, and, as I’ve been reminded a few times, he doesn’t want to have to be so far away from me.
I can’t really offer any proof of his problem, but please don’t think I would lie about this. Time is running short, and it would be terrible for him to have to leave after already needing to take time off of school, which he loves. Paul’s a great student, a wonderful person, and an amazing boyfriend. Please throw him a couple bucks, it would seriously mean the world to me.

um, hey, guys, I hate to do this, but - I thought I had rent but then my landlord informed me that, yes, despite circumstances I have to pay the $140 late fee as well by Saturday
