Like, I get why they didn’t because obviously it’s Tony’s standalone movie. It’s important for his character development - as it will be for the others - to go on their own journeys. Marvel is doing a wonderful job setting this up similar to the comic universe, with everyone having their own titles and arcs but still coming together for the team titles.
But IM3 made it very clear that we’re not just pretending Avengers didn’t exist. They are very much a part of Tony’s world and at the very least, I would imagine that while he is off the grid in Tennessee, Pepper got more than a few frantic calls. Possibly security notifying her that a giant green rage monster has shown up at the salvage site and refuses to leave…
The commentaries made by the sherlock fandom about elementary you guys have been reblogging are almost like a constant stream of rudeness, was it this bad with the movies? I mean I remember there was always the smartass commentary here and there, from several parts of the holmes fandom, you know, canon, granada, then bbc too, but I wasn't as active online so that might explain why I didn't feel it was as -constant-?
I don’t know how it was on Tumblr when the first movie came out because I joined later, but I came across a lot of hate on other sites.
And whenever there were news articles about AGoS there was always someone in the comment section bitching about how the movies suck why are they making another one people should just watch the BBC show instead because it’s soOoOo0o much better. (I know, shouldn’t read the comments…)
But I don’t think it ever got so bad as with Elementary.

I’m getting tired of saying this, but It is truly a one-sided affair. Believe me, I’ve actually looked for proof otherwise. The reason I’m happy Elementary exists is because it took some hatred off from the films by the same people.
I know. Although I do get the sense that some of my beloved pan-Sherlockian followers are getting a bit tired of RDJ-partisans responding and reacting to the hate. Which I don’t think is quite fair, because I’m a bit of a fighter and we should be able to defend our version — it’s not the same as perpetuating the problem. However, I think I’m just going to lol it off from now on. There’s obviously nothing we can do to get people to be more open minded.

<3 Yeah, I don’t know why they dislike it so much, and I suspect a lot of it is a bandwagon effect. It became the “cool” thing to bash to make yourself seem like a “real” Holmes fan. But they’re entitled to their opinion. I just wish they wouldn’t insult it or its fans so much. If you don’t like strawberry ice cream, it doesn’t mean that chocolate ice cream is inherently awful, or that that people who like chocolate AND vanilla are not real ice cream fans. YOU JUST DON’T LIKE IT. XD G

do you think every movie here is in spanish? uhm, no… they do have a dubbed version, for younger audiences, usually, but other than that just the subtitles are in spanish. unless that’s what you mean?

Granted I’m not familiar with how US film distribution works in other countries or whether American films are usually dubbed or subbed. Each country is different.
I’m also someone who spent her entire childhood watching subbed films and television so subtitles are second-nature to me.
Needs to happen, though one could say every interview is a romantic comedy
