Everyone probably expected us to be over-the-top shipper fanatics that squee over anything and everything, but we’re really just a bunch of weirdos that enjoy screwing around.

hngh, okay, so...

I did manage to talk to my internet service provider, and they sent a technician my way. The guy (named Pete) was nice enough to replace the Internet modem with a new one with no charge, but the results… eh, they were about the same. Internet still kept dropping on my laptop, Xbox and Wii U after being connected for a while.

I gave Pete a call to tell him if there was anything else that could be done, and he suggested I try directly hooking the cable from the internet modem to my laptop.

… The connection lasted perfectly for an hour before I decided to unplug it. So, that brought me to this one conclusion: the router itself must be the problem, even though it hasn’t behaved any differently (ie, not showing actual signs of wi-fi connection dropping, behaving as if there’s nothing wrong).

That router has been around with us since when Pokemon Diamond and Pearl first came out. That’s… what, six years? It’s lasted well, so I guess it’s starting to show its age or something, I dunno. I was REALLY hoping that this sort of problem would resolve itself without having to pay for anything, but… *sigh* I hope it’s the solution, if I end up going along with it.

I’m going wired for tonight, but sadly I’m not in much of a mood to respond to things due to how ridiculous and annoying this problem has become, so… sorry guys. >: I do hope I get it fixed soon at least, if not have it fix itself.

(( gonna try to make french macarons. txt it. not really. ))

HOO OKAY SO

After waking up to another morning of uncooperative internet, I decided to go out and buy a better, stronger router. This one even comes with a passcode, so nobody can just go mooching off our connection. And guess what? It works like a charm. uwu

… of course, I spent like two hours getting it to work, 20 minutes of it following the instructions and double-checking the setup, and then the rest of the time noticing that it was still not connecting (and then my modem decided to go a li’l haywire in the process) SO I took several breaks before coming back and trying different things, like power cycling, trouble shooting, using LAN cable connection to mess with the router, etc. None of that worked… up until I power cycled one more time and opened a little offline “netgear genie” configuration page to get it fixed. After that, Internet not only came back on, but it’s going strong and hasn’t dropped at all! And since it’s new, it’s a bit faster, so whoo!

That being said, I uh, I’ll respond to things on the BDAT blog… later, okay? ^^; I have some drawings I need to do (one of them being a particularly critical one I forgot about) and I wanna get those out of the way first.

Guys. I’m officially a “suspected aspergirl”. My sister always suspected I was an aspie and I dismissed it but the most I read the aspergirl traits the more it fits, and more, people close to me says I fit everything… Also I did the RAADS-R online (revised for girls) and I have a high score (112 and you have to get 65 to be diagnosed…)

so yeah. However it’s all very mild (edit : I pass well as NT :)) and I’m good at social things because I’ve learnt and I have a character people like. Jesus theatre literally saved my life and taught me all the social skills.

Doesn’t change anything with panda of course ! I’m still dyspraxic (like I always said “dyspraxia with aspie traits”). Just thought you’d like to know.

I don’t want to cling too much on the label because more than everything, I’m a person and I’m happy in my life, I cope well. I’ll try to be positive !
