Rome just loved to spread its favourite religions all over the place, even if they didn’t occupy the place for terribly long. Mithras was popular with the legions, so it’s not hugely surprising to find dedications to him on the fringes of the Empire, but all the way out in Scotland is hella far away from his somewhere-Eastern origins.

Also, I love Mithras and his amazing hat, so expect me to post anything related to him I come across.
