We need someplace in Springfield, Missouri to rent by THURSDAY MORNING.
The plumbing in our apartment building needs to be replaced on very short notice, and so I and my roommate are looking for someplace to stay that does NOT require a three month lease and is preferably closeish to the Missouri State campus (neither I nor my roommate can drive). We’ve been looking around and are finding nothing, but if anyone has any leads to share, PLEASE send me a message. (We’re saving asking for peoples’ couches for if we have nothing by tomorrow.) And if you have nothing but can signal boost this, that would be great too!!
I graduated in a class of twelve Midwestern white kids.
Then I spent a year at Missouri State University. Missouri State LOVES to talk diversity, but… 86% of their students are white. And I never gave a shit.
Now I go to UMBC, where only 52% of the students are white—and I’ve come to realize how awesome diversity is. I think it’s so cool that anywhere you look, half of the students you see are black, Asian, Hispanic and/or international.
