Meristems: aka embryonic tissue(the origin)

areas where the rapid new growth originates.

Types:

Apical:-  root point(cap) and stem apex elongation.

these give rise to!(down arrow)

Primary Meristems.:- these cells undergo division before differentiation.(pro-cambium(forms the vascular cambium and it’s side tissues))(, ground cambium(makes pith and cortex filler cells))(, protoderm(makes the epidermis for the plant as well as leaf primordium; found also on top of apical meristem))

So, primary growth forms primary tissues forms primary plant body.”don’tchaknow”

Lateral:- increases girth of roots and stems and is what we call secondary growth. (vascular cambium)(cork cambium grows newer filler cells and inner dermis)(intercalary cambium grows nodes on plants)
