Spiders are really cool

Last week when cleaning I found a spider.
One that intrigued me because I found it while sweeping, and it freaked me out because I saw it on the wall, crawling, then when I looked back saw it to be dead.

Then after sweeping it up with other dust, saw it crawl again, and was all D8« !! YOU! YOU’RE PLAYING POSSUM!
And promptly captured it.
I have yet to identify it, prolly some sort of orb weaver, what intrigues me is its pretty checkered markings.
So
after putting a paper cup in said peanut jar container that is now its home. It made a little web, and I tried to feed it baby mealworms.
Which didn’t really work out.

I see little dead mealies around the floor of the jar, and it abandoned its first web that actually anchors the cup to the walls. And crawled up under the cup to make another web.

Recently, I took some darkling beetles from my Bio teacher, which contained some random months or something in them. Small little things.

While looking at my poor little spider, I made the connection.
Capturing a moth from the old bran I’d saved from my darkling beetles (it has a bunch of eggs and tiny mealies in it)
I stuck it in the jar. And sort of guided it under the cup.

It was awesome. It got stuck in the web, and I got to lay on my bed and watch from the bottom a spider spinning up a little flying insect up with the light of a little book lamp.

tl;dr
I just watched an orb weaver capture its prey, with my eye two inches away.

I… have so many creatures in my room…

i had to buy my leopard gecko mealworms IS IT TRUE THAT THE MEALWORMS CAN EAT THROUGH MY GECKOS STOMACH SERIOUSLY SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE IM SCARED?
