- haedar's science posts: well, EtBr is an intercalator; it “intercalates” or sticks to nucleic acids or gets in between (wedges) strands of a double helix unwinding it by 26 degrees. when UV light is shined, it hits the “dye” EtBr causing the nucleic acids to emit light at a certain wavelength of UV and therefore makes it visible.

How awkward if I don't get in for next year.
4 family members of the younger generation have gotten in. 3 of them in particular at the most prestigious unis my city has to offer. No one even realises how much more competitive it is for me though. Those unis are gonna be IMPOSSIBLE to get into for my field. I’d be REALLY lucky if I get into anything at all :/
