about to walk under the US-2 bridge in Manistique, MI.

I have, in my possession,

a photo album full of photos my grandpa took/had taken of him in the years 1957-1961.  Some are in black and white, some are sepia tone.  They are absolutely wonderful.  I may be biased, one, because I am fascinated with images and the history of this time period, two, because they are my papa’s photos.  I think even if they weren’t my grandpa’s I’d find them just as beautiful.  There’s photos of boats in the Manistique harbor, my grandpa’s friends fishing and drinking, old vehicles, firefighters, airplanes, snowshoeing, what looks like a flood (which is uncommon in this area), parades, and many great architectural and landscape shots.  They make me want to know the history of each photo, who is in them, what their relationship was to my grandpa, and so on.  I’m going to scan the majority of the photos, and quite possibly post them on here.  I feel the need to share them.
