Matte: when an eyeshadow, bronzer, or blush is matte, this means that it contains no shimmer or sparkles. When a foundation is matte, it means that it has a shine free finish.

Loreal Infallible Eyeshadows!

Another great new product from the drugstore! Sorry for the dirtyness, Rite Aid is a bunch of dicks and always puts price stickers all over everything.

Many people are curious if these are cream or powder shadow, they are techinically powder in the form of a pressed pigment, but the texture is so soft they do almost feel a little creamy. The packaging is really different, you have to keep a stopper on them when stored so the pigment stays pressed. Without it they would become less compacted and basically could loosen up like a regular loose pigment or loose eyeshadow. You’ll see what I mean:

This is what the pigment inside looks like:

I have been lusting for these ever since I heard they were coming out, because they are often compared to the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill shadows that I’ve always wanted. Those ones have a pretty hefty price tag of I believe $31 or $32 (although they wouldn’t be the most expensive shadows I’ve ever purchased, my Chanel Illusion D’Ombre shadows are $36 each, but SO worth it). The Loreal ones are much more affordable at only $7-9 depending on what store you buy them from!

They claim to wear for “24 hours” which is the new trendy claim for beauty companies to make it seems. I have not attempted to test them for that long because that is ridiculous, but they do have really great wear from what I can tell! I tried Iced Latte when I was in a hurry and didn’t use any primer underneath and it was still going pretty strong by the end of the day. I would still use primer under them normally though, just because. Here’s the swatches, no primer underneath:
