Maids are quite literally a class of Organizers. What they do is they care for their aspects, iron out flaws and make sure everything runs smoothly! They use their aspect to assist their aspect’s smooth passage.
Void players represent secrets, or things nobody else can see or detect, which has a wide amount of interpretations.
A Maid of Void’s imperative in a session is to use their ability to be figuratively (or literally!) quite invisible to be the orchestrator of secrets in their session. They are on no one’s side, they are only doing what needs to be done to keep everything running as it should. While you would not necessarily be behind everything going on, there’s a good chance that you’d be behind a lot of things that people would like to keep hidden.
Maid of Void
1) Countering/Defending with void
These powers would entail keeping secrets hidden from her allies in order to protect them. If, fore example, a Prince of Rage’s matesprit had been killed, then the Maid could cover this up so the Prince doesn’t go on a rampage. The Maid could also hide the weaknesses of the team from their enemies to prevent them gaining the advantage.
2) Serving with void
This could manifest as the ability to make the Maid and their allies invisible and at higher levels, intangible. In a less literal sense it could also echo the ‘countering/defending’ theory as the Maid would use void to protect and serve her allies.
3) Made of void
Perhaps after going god tier, the Maid would literally be made of void. They would be nigh indestructible in this state and only another void player or something extremely powerful (and specific) could harm them whilst they are one with the void. They would also have no trouble traversing the void because they have become one with it.
Works well with: Seer of Blood, Knight of Rage, Witch of Mind
Works poorly with: Most light players, Seer of Void
As the Opposite of Light, Void can:
- Create Illusions by projective the Confusion of the Void; teleport by linking two Points in Space through the Void (Wormholes/Portals);cause Invisibility; disrupt an Enemy’s Mind; communicate with the Horrorterrors with no adverse Effects; hop through the Void (either via a facilitated Medium—Roxy’s fenestrated Planes—or directly) to cut down the Duration of a Trip; determine how something can be dstroyed and exploit that Weakness (finding the Cracks in the Armour), enter a State similar to Rose’s Grimdark (consciously), lock Enemies in the Void.
Basically, Light Players would be supportive Telepaths like Charles Xavier, whereas Void Players would be more similar to Emma Frost.
Bard of Space (strandedkamo)
Personality: Someone who’s likely spontaneous and somewhat eccentric. Would have a either a sort of immaturity about them or a strict seriousness.
Player Role: A guide to the other players away from innocence to prepare them for the extremes of the game.
Abilities: Invites destruction of physical form or mass.
Sylph of Time (littlestarprincess)
Personality: Easy-going, calm, but strong in what they believe in or when a point needs to be made. Probably receptive to others’ - particularly, authority figures’ - opinions or imput. Otherwise, independent.
Player Role: Corrector of mistakes that would put the session into an offshoot timeline and a guide away from them to the other players.
Abilities: “Healing” of damage done to the timelines. (Patching up Lord English’s coat, to put into perspective.)
Maid of Void (mthirtyone)
Personality: Likely nosy on some level or another, but protective of their own buisness. Generally nurturing in the case of others’ issues, disregarding privacy to uncover them.
Player Role: A teacher in the “function” of the void or a creator of void as protection or security for other players.
Abilities: Pick and choosing of spots to obscure from even omniscient eyes.
Seer of Void (necromant, subject-unrelated)
[I just want to mention that this is one of my favorite titles due to the opposition of the pair and the opportunity for alliteration.]
Personality: Extremely creative, although reserved to their own interests or intentions. may be somewhat obsessive over a particular subject.
Player Role: An all-seeing informant able to view into the veils of the void.
Abilities: Sight beyond sight, even in the unseen.
If its not too much trouble, can you please tell me what a maid of void would do?
Maid: Defends and counter-attacks using her aspect, is also known to fix things relating to her aspect (Jane fixes life by healing, Aradia is going around fixing doomed timelines now that she’s God-Tiered, etc.).
Void: The Aspect of darkness, secrets, and hiding/hidden things. Void players are extremely talented at making people and/or objects undetectable (note Roxy blacking out her entire session from Calliope’s view, for example).
As such, a Maid of Void would defend amd counter-attack using darkness, secrets, and hiding. This would allow her to, say, blind her enemies with darkness (thus stopping them from attacking), or to make herself disappear before the attack could go through. The moment anybody tried to attack her, she’d be completely hidden. She would also be able to fix darkness, secrets, and hidden things, which may entail finding secret objects and such and repairing them, or ensuring that a certain secret that’s been revealed goes back to being a secret again. She’d be a very elusive player, and pretty much no one would be able to find her if she didn’t want them to.
Maid of Void please?
you know what maybe I will just do a full blown random analysis as an ask answer. Just because I am feeling like halfcrap|
from my poor memory it seems like I have gotten nine trillion asks for this or something anyway. Though everyone sure likes their spacey maids, because I think that has even more.
Maids help their team with their aspect from what I think, and so the definition seems kind of straightforward.
#1- Use obfuscation to assist team.
They would be hiding things and helping everyone evade stuff.
Perhaps the Maid would be in the shadows orchestrating everything necessary for something to work (possibly would be able to turn themselves invisible for this). Or they would hide everyone else to keep them from harm while they do stuff.
That’s all I can really think of for this title.
If you think there is something that should be added to this analysis then please send an ask.
