Lowen appreciation post!!!

Time for some appreciation of underrated characters!
Especially those with blinding bangs!

I think maybe only two or three people will recognize this guy, so let me tell you about LOWEN from Fire Emblem 7!

He’s the third, kind of ad-on, cavalier-type character in FE7, ranking very low in popularity among most gamers, who mostly say he has a terrible stat growth. Interestingly, this didn’t turn out to be true in my case! He became a very sturdy and strong character, one of my best actually.

Personality-wise, he’s a total sweetheart.
He’s from a family of peasants (yeah haha no really) and very determined to become a knight. He’s always very polite and extremely humble. He constantly criticises himself and is pretty shy too.
Food is very important to him (he is from a poor village after all) so he takes up the cooking for the party and is always concerned about everyone, including himself always having enough to eat.

His only romantic support (= active shipping possibility for players, haha) is with the archer Rebecca, who he rescues along with your strategist player character early in the game. Rebecca has some very cool supports with other likeable characters but I always pair her up with Lowen because DAMN their support dialogue is always so cute. (With Rebecca gushing all over how he swooped in on his white steed to save her from hundreds of bandits! and he’s all “but but but my horse is plain brown and I’m not that good at all and aah”)

I’m also pretty sure that his name should have been translated as “Rowan” and if his hair would not be green, it would be red.
