i just think it’s the same fire bending guy because all this stuff happened around the same time?? especially makobolin’s parent’s and sato’s wife (~12 years ago)

that could be likely? im trying to think of ties between makobolin parents and asami’s mom and amon’s family, some kind of connection that would cause someone to target them?? hm.
maybe someone, not from the war itself, but with parents from the war who wanted revenge?? on non-firebenders, for the fall of the fire nations power? they couldve grown up hearing their parents talk of the war, and inherited their anger and ideas. thats only a general motive though??
sato family was successful nonbending. amon’s family was farmers?? right?? they couldve been on a previous fire nation colony’s land. makobolin’s ‘rents could’ve just angered the wrong person.
