Housing Works, Adulting by Kelly Williams Brown, and The Great Radio Comedians

I work around the corner from the Housing Works book store. If you’ve ever looked at this tumblr (you should), you know I like weird old books and I get a lot of them from this awesome store. Not only is it a charity that supports people living with HIV / AIDS but everything they sell is pretty affordable. HW is also really good at posting signs in their window about all kinds of upcoming events. Yesterday, I happened to see on my commute that they were having a book release party for Adulting: How to Become a Grown-up in 468 Easy(ish) Steps by Kelly Williams Brown, with performances by Julieanne Smolinski, Lindsey Weber, Christine Friar, Caragh Poh, John Asante, and Meredith Haggerty.

If you don’t know, Julieanne Smolinski is @BoobsRadley on Twitter. She’s hilarious, interesting to read, and a fan of The Best Show, so I figured I’d go see if she was as funny in person, as she is in print (She is. Maybe more so). All the performers were great and funny about being bad at being adults.
