One year ago today I created my first actual not-just-a-test post here. I’d been flirting with the idea of using tumblr for a while, and the combination of procrastinating/freaking out about bar studying and a very persuasive friend pushed me over the edge.
I’d been blogging on and off for a million years (actually eleven, which is basically the same thing), but it had been a long time since I’d stuck with anything for more than a month or two. A year later, not only am I still here, I like it even more than when I started. The tumblr platform is part of that (it really is a joy to use), but it’s also the incredible community I’ve found here. I’ve laughed and been inspired and moved to tears. I’ve shared recipes and nail polish colors and book recommendations. I’ve made amazing friends, online and off.
So thank you, tumblr. And thank you all for making this little corner of the internet so awesome. I really like it here. I think I’ll stick around.

It’s super last minute but I’ve booked my flights and registered for the con,
SO I AM GOING TO 221BCON
For awhile there I thought I wasn’t going to swing it, but it is done. (Mostly thanks to the google-fu of Matt, thank you Matt) I’ll be flying in Friday evening and leaving Tuesday afternoon.
I’ve got a place to stay but it’s a bit out of the way, so if anyone feels like having me hang out in their hotel room for the con or something I’m really friendly and sometimes I make jokes.
I’m just rather excited because I get to see you all ; u ;
