2 years ago I saw a group of middle school aged Buddhist boys in orange robes who had shaved heads and a little boy saw them and said “Look, Mom! Airbenders!” and at first they laughed but then they told him that they were Airbenders but they weren’t allowed to airbend in public and it was pretty much the greates thing I’ve ever seen

This shows some intersting shots of what looks to be the slums of Republic City, where I assume Mako and Bolin grew up. Also some cool early early character designs for the brothers.
Here get see the finished designs for Mako and Bolin. Mako looks as broody and angsty as usual while Bolin looks as sexy as usual.
Some hilarious Bolin faces with a few Mako drawings as well. Bolin really has the best expressions.
