Leaves From the Vine (Remake)

Produced by Chongthenomad

I decided to do a song a bit similar to what I did with ‘When Avatars Fall in Love’… After listening to some of the old themes from the original show, I decided to re-make ‘Leaves From the Vine’. Which as most of you know, is the song Iroh sings on his deceased son’s birthday.

Hope you like it~

Leaves From The Vine (Remake With Vocals)

DJ Chong & Adriana Figueroa

Have I mentioned what a huge fan of chongthenomad I am? Because I’m pretty sure I’ve been listening to her ATLA/Korra mixes on repeat for like a week straight and I have NO REGRETS, whatsoever. She is incredible and she is my hero. Her newest mix is a remake of “Leaves From The Vine,” the song that Iroh sings to his son’s grave in the original series, and it’s absolutely beautiful. It didn’t have any vocals, so I thought I’d add some — I hope I didn’t ruin the beauty of its simplicity! Hope you guys enjoy it. :)

Leaves from the vine
Falling so slow
Like fragile, tiny shells
Drifting in the foam
Little soldier boy
Come marching home
And brave soldier boy
Comes marching home

You can download this version here on Mediafire!
And seriously, though — go listen to the rest of Chong’s mixes… NOW. ♥
(Also, you should definitely consider listening to this with headphones. Just saying.)

Without further ado, I present to you sheets for chongthenomad’s Leaves From the Vine!

It took me just over 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete. It was nice. I really wish I knew how to notate the timpani because it just doesn’t sound the same without it. *sigh*

How’s the audio sound? Is it too quiet? Is the cello too strong on the open D? I think so. It sounds pretty, though.

Made with Finale Notepad.
