“It’s fine! I’m fine Karkitty just leave it alone!” Nepeta hissed as Karkat tugged at the sleeve of her black jacket, trying to get it off.

“No you’re not! I saw you cut yourself with one of your stupid fucking knives and I know you won’t do anything but lick it with your tongue like a damn wriggler, now let me see!”

He yanked her back again, this time by the hood, nearly making her fall backwards. “Fine!” She snapped, pulling out of his grasp. She roughly tugged down the zipper on her jacket and threw it at his feet, shoving her arm at him. “You can see it and fix it just- please don’t make fun of it, okay?” She murmured.

“Why the fuck would I make fun of it?” He asked as he took her arm, turning it over to get a better look, “it’s not like you’re a rustb- oh.” 

Karkat actually stopped talking for once as he took in the bright bright red of the blood dripping from her arm and smeared on his fingers.
