RegistrerenRacists Still Don't Like That a Mexican-American Kid Sang the National Anthem at the NBA Finals
As you’ve probably heard by now, some people were not at all happy that 10 year old mariachi singer Sebastian de la Cruz sang the national anthem at Game 3 of the NBA finals last Tuesday.
Since then, 10 year old Sebastian de la Cruz has owned them. He owned them both in written 140-character word on Twitter and via moving image on the television. If I was a 14 year old playing X-Box 360, I would use the term PWNAGE to describe what he did right there.
So as you can see, San Antonio born Mexican-American Sebastian de la Cruz is pretty awesome. The kid is so awesome, in fact, that the San Antonio Spurs invited him back to sing the national anthem again at Game 4 of the NBA finals last Thursday. Sebastian sang and the crowd cheered. He won, assholes lost spectacularly.
After he sang the second time around, the messages came pouring in to this here website about all the racist anti-immigrant responses being posted online again. But last week was about Sebastian de la Cruz and his annihilation of the haters. That was the story. So, I waited to post these.

“Sounds illegal. #GreenCardPlease” says guy with Irish last name.

“This racism tastes a little bitter. I know, we’ll add a touch of homophobia and…WALLA!”

Ladies and gentlemen, a “NOT” joke! So creative…I applaud you. #not.

I totally agree, dude! Letting an American born citizen sing the national anthem is very unAmerican.

You’re using “smh.” SMH.

Interesting piece of info from MACK’s Twitter bio:

Can’t understand why.

“What is the country coming too?” A country where Mexican-American 10 year olds can belt out the country’s national anthem better than some loser on Twitter’s grammar.

Damn right, Kevin! Poor white people never get their chance in the spotlight!

Nice hashtags. Keep up with that “minority outreach.”
Just in case you’re thinking of deleting your tweets *before* I can find them, remember your internet posts last forever…

And to show it’s not all Twitter, the next screenshot is from Facebook and was sent in by a reader of the site:

*pours one out for the declining white people population*
Now, without further ado, the two “best” posts I came across in this set of tweets:
2) The guy who hates that a Mexican is singing the national anthem, is then told the kid is an American and was born here…

…and he “still doesn’t like it!” (aka he is different than me and I am afraid.)
1) Possibly the most “amazing” tweet posted concerning this Sebastian de la Cruz national anthem “controversy”…

“Compassionate” Chris who would rather have Adele, an English born UK citizen, sing the United States national anthem, then an AMERICAN CITIZEN because the American citizen happens to be of Mexican descent. We’ve fallen so deep into the dark pits of stupidity you could say we’re…rolling in it? *rimshot*
U.S. Senator Delivers Immigration Speech in Spanish, Is Labeled a Traitor to America
What happens when Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia makes a 13 minute speech in Spanish on the Senate floor in support of immigration reform? Why, he makes history as the first Senator in history to delivery an entire speech on the floor of the Senate in a language other than English! History! Historia! Tremendous! Tremendo!
Also, as you might have guessed if you read the last post on here, this happens:

“Ur a disgusting fck” says this angry guy and a slew of other super-duper patriotic totally-not-bigots-we-swear American heroes who (barely) speak English!

“Unbelievable!” says Conservative actor / Breitbart blogger Adam S. Baldwin! You may know Mr. Baldwin from his role as Major Mitchell in Independence Day or as Jane from the show Firefly or as a great big douchebag on Twitter.

haha. “Speaking Spanish is offensive because people who speak Spanish tend to vote for the party I do not like.” I honestly don’t understand why Spanish speaking people won’t vote for your party, Jacque…

lmao. Oh, the things said in these tweets must be why they won’t vote for you party. “Have we sold our souls to illegal Mexicans?” asks poor Bob. YES. BOB. AND THEY PAID IN PESOS TOO. And Capslock Vicky over here thinks the answer to her party losing the Latino vote isn’t to support policies that the Hispanics support…it’s to just keep ‘em all out and keep running business as usual!

lmao. Look at all those Twitter avatar flags.

Indignante!

#Nice #use #of #hashtags. #Very #relevant.

“Yeah. if *u* *cant* speak English, get out *AZZ* HOLE.”

“TIM KAINE is the BIGOT for SPEAKING SPANISH.” What.
And, also, by the way, just a little note, to all these fine scholars. English is not “our language.” There is no official language in the United States of America.
With all that said, Tim Kaine explained that he felt it was important to explain the bill in Spanish because 40 MILLION people in the U.S. speak the language…

…and with that they call him a TRAITOR!

*insert midi version of the national anthem & GIF of American flag blowing in the wind*
Republican Congressman Reaches Out to Latinos By Tweeting "Illegal Aliens Have Invaded My Office!"
Republicans have a problem. They just can’t seem to get Latinos to vote for them! With the Hispanic population rising in the United States, the GOP has said they realize they need to reach out to the Latino community.
Enter Republican Congressman from Iowa, Steve King!

“20 brazen self professed illegal aliens have just invaded my DC office.”
No, Steve King’s office was not invaded my Martian invaders from outer space. It’s just that good ol’ GOP reach out! With that tweet, Steve King is just extending his hand out to the Latino community!
But Steve King was not done! Steve King continued!

Rep. Steve King, as you can tell, is not too keen on immigration. He calls out the “Gang of 8,” the bipartisan group working on immigration reform, to come “guard his door.” lmao.
Anyway, why were this scary Latinos doing at poor Steve King’s DC office? King introduced an amendment that would end the Department of Homeland Security policies that allow it to delay deporting young, undocumented immigrants…and these muchachos y muchachas had the nerve to think they could meet with an elected official to discuss his position!
And speaking of those invaders, what did these evil, dastardly, no good, marauding band of “illegal alien” thugs look like that struck such fear into the nonexistent heart of Steve King?

MY GOD. YOUNG LATINO HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES. RUN FOR YOUR LIVES.
Los Angeles Times Drops 'Illegal Immigrant' and 'Undocumented Immigrant' Labels

The Los Angeles Times will no longer use the term “illegal immigrant.”
By EMILY DERUY
The Los Angeles Times will no longer use the terms “illegal immigrant” or “undocumented immigrant,” the paper announced Wednesday. While the Times has generally avoided such terms for some time, the new guidelines make the policy official.
