I got some issues with Miranda Lambert, mostly on the grounds of cisgender assumptions/binarist gender narratives (“don’t that sounds like a real man”) and lady vs. lady violence in other songs (when we all know it’s pretty much always the dude’s fault) but I really like what she’s doing here, because fuck a bunch of sugar and spice and everything nice.
I just read a piece that argued that representation of cyborgs in film has left women behind, and cited as a prime example of the maleness of cinematic cyborg The Six Million Dollar Man. Um, I believe it is you who are leaving women behind, by totally ignoring Jaime Sommers.
hey i need a person to let me borrow their voice
i’m looking for a person to record a poem (which is written and will be sent to the person) and send it to me to be used in a video art piece (which i have posted already and plan to redo with higher quality). the poem is somewhat different than the one posted previously but it deals with gender identity and fluidity. i will make some kind of thing and give it to the person/people who record their voice for me, it will be great.

last night i had dreamed i was in the mall looking for the feminist boyfriend store because i’d lost or broken mine or something, except i couldn’t find the right store to get it replaced. so i asked mall security for directions, and they were like, are you sure you need that? does it need to be white?
then i woke up and laughed a bitter laugh

pharmacists who talk to you about why you need the morning after pill. how you have to fill out a massive form to get the morning after pill. how one question says “why are you taking it this time” and lists sexual assault as a box to tick on the form like that’s not fucking triggering at all. the phrase “you know this is not a good form of conceptive”. get fucked Priceline. who the hell are you? is this happening everywhere? why are we letting people be demeaned like this? agh!
