That feeling.
Kollaboration SF’s freestyle dance competition for members of the audience consisted of 3 rounds. An audition backstage, where 6 participants are chosen. Then, an elimination round in groups of 3. And the winners of the elimination round face off.
I realized after being on that stage, how much I wanted to be on a stage again. That when I get better that feeling is going to motivate me to train harder.
&& I stood less than 10 feet away from Clara C, Jeremy Lin & David So. And being complimented by Kableezy. And Jane Lui shook my hand and said “You did great!”. Well. er.. I did have to go back stage.. LOL. o__o” Which was pretty cool!

AA Limelight Interview with Kollaboration SF

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hello! I’m Christine, my staff calls me Minji. I’m the [executive director] of Kollaboration SF for the past two years and spent a year as associate director when KollabSF first started in ’09. I’m a public health major Cal alum, native Bay Arean, macys.com employee. I like traveling, long walks on the beach, fried chicken… hahaha jk (but not really, I’m just sparing you).
What is Kollaboration SF?
(copy & pasted from our website) Kollaboration is an annual event and movement produced by young Asian and Pacific Islander (API) professionals and students to promote a strong API presence in entertainment and media. Our high-energy shows across the nation provide a unique chance for young API artists to showcase their talents.
Kollaboration SF Bay Area currently consists of a team of 20 plus passionate staff members, all of whom believe in the cause, and wish to make a change in the Asian Pacific Islander community.
Kollaboration is a show, a movement, a goal, and a family. Empowerment through entertainment. We’re 100% volunteer run. We showcase amazing local talent through one heck of a show in each of our 14 cities every year to boost an accurate and empowering API image in mainstream media. We work with other non-profit orgs in our communities & nationally. We support our API community by bringing awareness to important issues.
Kollaboration TODAY:D
Wheee I’m going to Kollaboration SF today <3
Hehe I was so sad I couldn’t go when I first found out, but my school’s Leo Club just happened to be selling tickets this week and I did not waste any time in getting my hands on one. I think this was why I had a feeling something was going to happen the day before I found out x)
I am happy. And I will attempt to take pictures under low light -.- (My camera must not fail me tonight!)
