THIS WILL BE
THE FIRST FANFICTION I HAVE EVER WRITTEN
EVER
It was a cold dark night, as most nights were in this town. Not that it mattered to the vampire sitting at her doorstep. He rang the doorbell, completely unfazed by the chill. He was shaking, however; not from the cold, but because he was nervous. Conrad Achenleck pulled at his shirt collar and tried to swallow his feelings with a small, pathetic gulp. It didn’t work. He looked down at what he was carrying; it was a bouquet of pink carnations. He knew how much she loved pink.
The door swung open, and out stepped a young girl with a cute face, dressed in a short pink dress and a black pea coat. Her hair, usually parted straight down the middle with little other effort, was swept up onto the back of her head with a rather large hair clip, which was also pink. As she walked into the light of the porch, her dress shimmered like stars. She looked up at him and smiled.
Conrad was so lost at the sight of her that it was about half a minute before he realized that she was looking back and forth between he and the flowers.
“I um…..I uh, brought you these.” His face screwed up in embarrassment as he thrust the flowers at her.
She giggled, her face turning almost as pink as her dress.
“Thank you. I’ll go put these somewhere before we go…” she started to head back into the house, but turned around. “Oh!” she exclaimed, “I’m sorry, you can come in!” flustered, she ran into the kitchen and rummaged through the cabinets, looking for a proper vase.
Conrad stepped into the house and adjusted his jacket. He did not dress up very much for the occasion. They were, after all, just going to the movies. Now he felt a little under dressed in his black slacks and red polo.
Kimberly ran back into the dining room with the vase full of flowers, and quickly set it onto the table.
“There.” She looked up and Conrad and smiled again. The two of them sat in awkward silence for what felt like years, until finally the vampire mumbled,
“Shall we er, go then?”
“Oh! Yeah, sorry.” Kim hurried out of the door all in a fluster as Conrad held the door for her. Once she passed him, his face twisted into a goofy smile. She was just so cute when she was flustered, and to be honest, that was almost all the time.
*time skip to the movie theater because otherwise this post would be way too fucking long for any of you to care anymore. Car plot summary: Conrad opened the door for Kimberly (awww) and drove his slick as fuck vehicle to the theater and there was nothing but awkward silence and wayward glances as the two sweated (even though I don’t think vampires sweat, but w/e, idgaf) and tried to think of what to say. When they did speak, it was only short little quips of average conversation. I’m also going to cut it here.*
