Two Things.

This last year Kidlington has firmly come to mean two things:

1. A Second Home: Every Sunday a family from Lifehouse Community Church has taken us in for a lunch and let us lounge around, play with their toys, their children and invited us to just spend the afternoon making ourselves at home. I am so grateful for them.

2. A Place of Extreme Weather: It have experienced such utter frozenness on the streets of Kidlington while trying to give out Christmas goodies, that I was close to tears because it felt like my feet were going to fall off. Then, again during Easter, painting children’s faces under the scorching sun, while the creme eggs we were trying to give away didn’t stand a chance. Not to be outdone, the temperatures at Mark & Kat’s BBQ Fun day was so hot that I was struggling to be outside, even in the shade. And there wasn’t much shade. Little kids have it right - modest swimmers, water tables and paddling pools. Hmmmm, but us adults get Pimms…. tough choice!
